INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The PCI-TVSS may be installed to
the lugs of the main, the lugs of any switch, or any breaker on a
circuit-breaker panel (CBP).
Mount the unit as close as
possible to the point of attachment. The wires coming out of the unit are three
feet long, but do not use all three feet unless you have to--the closer the
better.
The black wires are attached to
the A, B and C Phase of the lugs, or on a CBP to any three-phase breaker on the
panel. Just loosen the set screw, insert the wire and tighten the set screw.
On Center-Tap Grounded units,
there will be only two black wires The B-phase is neutral.
On Hi-Leg service, the Hi-Leg
wire will be red.
The green ground wire should be
attached to the cabinet neutral or the cabinet ground.
CAUTION: Before
installing. be sure to check all three phases to ground to be sure the voltage
is the same as the voltage listed on the unit.
Example: A 277/480 unit attached to a 480 Delta panel will blow the unit.
Do not open the unit unless you
have to. If it becomes necessary to open the unit, excercise caution so that you
do not loosen any wires.
