Why You Don't Conduct Customer Surveys
The new Windows version of C�GEN is the easiest and most cost effective way to conduct customer surveys and to get the information you need to expand your business. C�GEN was developed to aid users in all steps of the survey design, administration, and analysis process. It includes a comprehensive database of 430 questions covering 20 topics. The databases are fully customizable, topics and questions may be added, modified, or deleted.
Four types of question formats are built-in: "How frequently...", "To what extent...", "How do you rate...", and "Agree/disagree...". You can also create your own question formats and answer scales with 2 to 10 choices. Open ended questions may also be used.
The survey developer can write the introductory text and include several demographic questions (eg. sex, age, store location, etc.). The survey data can be analyzed in terms of the demographic categories defined by the survey developer. Printed copies of the survey questionnaire and answer sheets can be produced or diskettes which present the questions interactively can be created.
If the survey is administered interactively (on disk or over a network), the data are collected as respondents take the survey. If questionnaires and answer sheets are produced, then the product creates a fast Data Entry screen which matches the answer sheet. This permits the survey responses to be entered very quickly, typically less than one minute per respondent.
Reports and graphs show the survey results for the business, for each selected topic, question, area, and demographic category. Data which differ significantly from the organization's means are identified. In addition, listings of responses to open ended questions may also be produced and these may be broken down by demographic variables if desired. The content of the reports and graphs is fully customizable. Data from past surveys can also be combined and used to show trends.
In addition to creating surveys from scratch, C�GEN can also be used to computerize an existing survey. In most cases this can be done with minimal or no changes to the survey content.
